This week, I've been a little lax on Blog-City Development (don't worry
support is as normal ;) ), but I've been filling the gap with getting
ready for Christmas. We've 3 Kids to organise Christmas for and they
are that perfect age to get the most of it all, Santa, reindeers, snow
and parties. They love it all.
So I've been experimenting on my family with some recipes from all the
cook books I possess and don't have much time for usually. I have to
say the one thats come up trumps this christmas so far is Nigellas "How
to be a domestic Goddess". The Christmas section is full of things we
all would eat (not a family for fruity type cakes/puddings).
I recently tried her mini chocolate puddings. I've always eyed them up
in the book. Always thought - that looks yum, but hard to do. However I
confess. I made it and cooked it in 25 minutes. 10 for the batter, and
15 to cook it. It was easy and fantastic to eat AND the ingredients
were ones I had lying around, nothing I had to go out for.
If you are looking for a gift, and the person in your life likes cooking, thats a very very good book all round.
