New Baby Born

We are delighted to announce we've had our new baby :)

Lewis Joseph Williamson was born 12.37pm BST on the 12th June 2006 weighing 8lb 2oz.

Here he is with our eldest Cormac.

Alan and I were playing poker at the kitchen table on Sunday night when it all kicked off, we went to hospital at about 3am when the contractions started. We didn't want to wait until waters broke, since babys of past have been born in a whoosh! So after alot of sitting about, waters broke at 12.32pm BST and 5 minutes later we had a baby looking at us!

The process is different now than with our last Son Noah 3 years ago. A hearing test is given just hours after birth now. And Mum (me) is given a statistics sheet of contractions and labour times. Very interesting. I wonder why they didnt do it before.
